Nos sacs sont prêts sur le dos. 3 autres camarades ont décidé de nous joindre pour aller a Valparaiso en sortant de l’auberge. En passant la porte, c’est Pekin express qui commence.

L’équipe concurrente est un trio hollandais et suisse qui vient de se former à l’auberge. Cette équipe est plus expérimentée avec leurs sacs super pros et leurs démarche plus assurée. Ils cumulent à eux trois déjà 40 500km, 5 pingouins vus en Patagonie et 6 ampoules sur le même pied depuis le début de leur séjour.
Notre équipe est plus atypique et notre style moins aérodynamique avec des sacs plastiques accrochés sur tous les cotes et des affaires qui pendouillent essayant de sécher au soleil.
L’équipe trio a suggéré directement de prendre un raccourci et de se diriger a une station de bus qui se trouve entre la station centrale de bus et valparaiso.

Mais nous pensons quand même nous rendre à la station centrale pour essayer d’avoir des informations précieuses pour le reste de notre voyage.. Cela nous fera perdre un peu de temps tout de suite mais nous espérons que cela paiera à la fin.
Gab leur annonce des la station de métro notre intention de nous séparer d’eux pour atteindre la station centrale. Le trio décide au dernier de faire de même.

Arrivés a la station centrale, un peu de cafouillage, il y a plusieurs files. Gab et moi se séparons mais suivi chacun d’un ou deux compétiteurs.. Finalement on court tous pour le même bus car on a prit le même billet pour le bus qui part dans 3minutes.
Nous y sommes tous arrivés. Le trajet (2heures) se passe sans encombre avec en prime un film Français (l’or noir). On prend au passage des passagers suppl dont le bus est tombé en panne.
Le bus est d’un bon confort, avec un chauffeur et son suppléant qui passent toutes les 30mins pour vendre des bouteilles d’eau ou de jus de fruits frais à prix raisonnable. Un panneau défilant donne la vitesse du chauffeur, l’heure..

L’océan apparaît à l’horizon, les couleurs jaillissantes nous giclent à la gueule, le soleil éclatant… : “Gab, je crois qu’on devrait changer nos billets et rester plus longtemps ici”.

great example of perseverance

Jeremy Marie, a French guy started a world tour in 2007 and as of today (June 27th 2012) he is still on the road.

He traveled by hitchhiking. Despite all the ugly stories that we’ve all heard, this guy is doing it.. He met very interesting people as you can imagine. His stories bring candid impressions on his experiences. Although words and pictures can only tell a fraction of what he lived.. this is already a compelling adventure.

This is a great testimony of courage and proof that dreams can become reality. Don’t blame others if you haven’t accomplished much in life.. you have the choice a every next heartbeat. Have the guts to jump and you’ll find the energy to carry on along the way.

He plans to arrive home (Caen city in France) in 2013.

I found this photo of my mother’s parents while looking through her most beloved things after she had suddenly passed away. My grandfather, who I never met, had written on the back of the photo; ” Yoyita, every time you see this photo remember an unforgettable Sunday for me.” Now I know why my mother knew how to love her husband and children with such an honest and pure love….she learned it from her parents.

Following our previous post.. Once again.. this audition of Britain’s got talent is one of the many testimonies that whether we are from England, Korea, Laos… we are all the same. The majority of us gets move by similar things. Although we’ve seen a thousand of this sudden shooting stars like Susan boyle.. we can’t help it. This is human nature. It’s our capacity for compassion for our fellow human and what supersede race, religion.

This show is a bit too much sometimes..it has been exported to all country. Korea’s got talent. Known for being a real tearjerker I was prepared for this show. The music, the soft voices.. well I have to admit that I still had to shed a tear. damn show!

I was on state health insurance when I was born. When I was 1 1/2 years old I was kicked off of state health insurance and put on the waiting list for Kids Care in AZ because my Mommy makes more than $1300 a month. Kids Care has since lost all of its funding. My Mommy works for a small business that does not have a group health plan. There are no kids only health plans anymore because of the healthcare bill banning the discrimination against kids with pre-exisiting conditions. This caused the health insurance companies to quit accepting kids-only applications.

I am 2 years old and I am still uninsured.

I am the 99%.

I discovered this blog a few months and I literally fell in love with the concept. The guy who had the idea to put this together is young (22) but manage to hit the sweet spot of many of us.

Many people are getting inspired by this original idea. Images are so strong and capture not only the light but also an engraved emotion, a story.

Who haven’t heard of the new basketball sensation? Jeremy Lin.

Jeremy an Asian (Taiwanese) guy in the NBA.. he used to stay on the bench all the time.. Nobody really paid attention to him, he was sleeping on the couch of his family’s friend. He is Christian and soft spoken. And I forgot he is also graduated from Havard. To make it the perfect context, he is not that tall and got turn down by a couple of teams.

2 events in the Knicks team brought him to the light. The 2 star players had to leave the team temporarily .. So the Knicks called him to play. Then happened what had to happen like Clark Ken, in one week he made history.

Lin had a career night on February 4, 2012, when he scored 25 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and dished out 7 assists (against only 1 turnover) in a 99-92 Knicks victory over the Nets. The statistics for points, rebounds, and assists were all career highs for Lin. After the game, Knick coach Mike D’Antoni, while being interviewed by the MSG Network, said Lin has a point-guard mentality and “a rhyme and a reason for what he is doing out there”^[78]. In the subsequent game against the Utah Jazz, Lin had 28 points and eight assists, new career highs.^[79] On February 10, 2012, Lin scored a new career high 38 points and had seven assists, leading the Knicks in their victory over the Los Angeles Lakers with a score of 92–85.^[80] He scored 89 points in his first three career starts, the most by any player since the merger between the American Basketball Association (ABA) and the NBA in 1976-77.^[81]

Today the Economy is leading the world and brings a lot of people onto their knees. The recession is hurting a lot of families. Some clichés seem too familiar for us to stay stoic. History stammers. People have short memories and keep repeating their mistakes. Greed rules the world, without compassion.

The market crash marked the beginning of a decade of high unemployment, poverty, low profits, deflation, plunging farm incomes, and lost opportunities for economic growth and personal advancement.
